Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 Australian Skeptics National Convention.
Special deals include reserved seating in rows 1 and 2, and early bird offer of seating in rows 3 and 4. And, of course, the gala dinner.
Running from October 16-18, the Convention features such luminaries of the scientific and skeptical world as Nobel laureate Prof Brian Schmidt; paranormal investigator Joe Nickell; US ‘guerrilla skeptic’ Susan Gerbic; and UK YouTuber Myles Power.
Other speakers include: journalist Signe Cane; writer and science researcher, Holly Warland; Peter Ellerton, lecturer in critical thinking; Ketan Joshi, researcher on community issues around renewable energy; Loretta Marron, indefatigable campaigner and three-time winner of the Skeptic of the Year; writer and researcher Lynne Kelly; and Ross Balch, co-organiser of the convention, president of the Brisbane Skeptic Society and producer of the Skeptically Challenged podcast.
The convention will also feature a panel on Parenting Skeptically. This features Lauren Cochrane, president of the Canberra Skeptics, Jo Alabaster; podcaster and writer; Alison Gaylard, administrator of the Northern Rivers Vaccination Supporters; and Dave Hawkes, research officer at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
