Pre-convention “gathering of the Skeptics”

Australian Skeptics often have a “gathering of the Skeptics” on the day before the national convention, where people can get together in a casual environment and discuss the latest news, share gossip, and rub shoulders with some of the convention speakers over a drink.

For 2017, this social get-together will be held on Friday, November 17, from 6pm onwards, on the top floor of the Occidental Hotel, York St, Sydney – diagonally opposite Wynyard Park.

Sydneysiders who come to the monthly Skeptics in the Pub will know the venue, as it’s where the SitPs are held.

A number of speakers from the convention have already indicated they will be coming to the event.

So whether you’re attending the convention or not, feel free to come along and join the fun. No tickets, no formality, just turn up. It is buy-your-own drinks from the bar.

And don’t forget the more formal convention dinner on Saturday, November 18, at the Sheraton on the Park. More info for this social highlight of the year can be seen here, and tickets bought from our shop.
