Steven Novella shares his thoughts on Carl Sagan

Dr Steven Novella, an academic neurologist, sceptic and host of the popular podcast, The Skeptics Guide to the Universe, tell us his thoughts about Carl Sagan on his blog Neurologica this week. Many people remember Carl Sagan for his many quotes about the universe and all its beauty. Of course there is the much cited “billions and billions” which was not originally a Sagan quote but he went on to claim it as his own. Steve Novella begins his blog post with the quote “For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.”
