Investigating pseudo-science and the paranormal from a responsible scientific viewpoint

Doherty, ACCC, TGA, Harvey — Skeptics’ mini-convention

The annual Australian Skeptics’ convention will be back in Sydney this November at the Australian Museum.

This will be a mini-convention for one day only. And ticket prices will be low to match — $65, with a discounted $45 for students.

But despite the short time and low prices, we’re still calling in an impressive line-up of speakers:

  • Nobel laureate Prof Peter Doherty (video presentation, live Q&A)
  • Dr Rohan Hammett, national manager of the TGA
  • Marcus Bezzi, the ACCC’s executive general manager of Enforcement and Compliance Division
  • Dr Ken Harvey
  • Peter Hadfield, science journalist

… and more yet to be announced.

There will also be a dinner (price to be confirmed) featuring comedian and social commentator Lawrence Leung.

BUT … seats will be seriously limited to just over 120, so it’s first in best dressed.

Tickets are available from the Skeptics’ shop.
