Tickets for the 2014 Australian Skeptics National Convention are now on sale via the Skeptics shop.
The Convention will be held from November 28-30 in the Concert Hall of The Concourse, Chatswood in Sydney’s northern suburbs.
There are three different ticketed events – the Convention itself, running over two full days from November 29-30; the Convention dinner featuring a special SGU event on Saturday, November 29; and a private recording session of an SGU podcast (this last event has now sold out).
A pre-convention social gathering will be held on November 28.
The Convention features a great line-up of speakers, including the Skeptics Guide to the Universe rogues; George Hrab; Dick Smith; Peter FitzSimons; Karl Kruszelnicki; sex therapist Bettina Arndt; astronomer Amanda Bauer; Kendrick Frazier (editor of the Skeptical Inquirer); Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Sonya Pemberton, and many more still to be announced.
The first 95 places booked for the Convention will get specially-reserved seats in the front rows of the Concert Hall. And the first 120 bookings will go into a draw for one person to take part in the Science or Fiction section of the SGU podcast during Saturday. (In addition to this session during the convention, and the private ‘up-close-and-personal’ recording on the Saturday night – now sold out – there will be a third SGU podcast on Sunday, November 30, with the Science or Fiction position being auctioned during the Convention dinner.)
Convention tickets are available for $320 covering all sessions; the Dinner, featuring a three-course meal and drinks as well as the SGU event, is $115.
All tickets can be purchased in the one transaction.
More details, including the program, accommodation options, information on the venue, etc, are available on the dedicated Convention website.
We look forward to seeing you there.
