MMS Australia – Genesis II Church Chapter #316

Nominated: Mal Vickers
Date: 4/05/2020

For selling a form of bleach (chlorine dioxide) as a panacea for many health conditions, including COVID-19. This business covers itself in a veneer of religious fervour to hide its commercially exploitative and dangerous activities. In Australia, reverends Peter Greg (WA) and Francesco Duardo (NSW) proselytise the health benefits of MMS (bleach) and offer it as a “sacrament of the Church” for $32.50 per bottle. Regardless of the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s 2014 warning, the promoters of MMS have returned to Australia to exploit our acceptance of anything American, our low levels of health literacy, and the commercial opportunity provided by the pandemic. [Postscript: it is gratifying to see that the TGA announced on May 13 that it had issued twelve infringement notices totalling $151,200 “for the alleged unlawful advertising of Miracle Mineral Supplement (also referred to as Miracle Mineral Solution) (MMS) and other medicines by Southern Cross Directories Pty Ltd trading as MMS Australia”.]
