Apparently, all of them, according to their own descriptions.
Following a recent flurry of self-promotion among the psychic community, Australian Skeptics decided to look at a number of the key players (according to themselves) and see how they rate. And the result is shocking – they’re all the best!
We first did this some 18 years ago, but since then we’ve added a few more mystics, astrologers and psychics who give themselves a superlative score.
The criteria they use for such celebrity is not certain. Unless we have an amazing dead-heat, they can’t all be using the same measures.
We know it can’t be their predictive ability, because after a 12-year study published in The Skeptic magazine recently, we found that the average accuracy of Australian psychics was a disappointing 11% correct.
We do know that many psychics will admit that there are a lot of dodgy purveyors out there, though obviously not themselves, and presumably not the other bests.
But without an obvious scale, we’ll just have to go on their own say-so.
The following list has been gathered from mentions on various web pages and media appearances over the past few years. It doesn’t include those sites that come up advertising ‘Ring a Psychic’ lines, even though many of those claim to have the best psychics, albeit anonymously.

- Tarun K. Tiwari – best astrology service in Australia
- Kaartik Gor – best astrologer in Perth, Australia
- David The Medium – internationally recognised as Australia’s most highly rated clairvoyant and spiritual medium
- Marina Dee – best psychic readings Melbourne
- Dee Gibson – Australia’s leading numerologist
- Ruthie Phillips – Australia’s top clairvoyant medium
- Francis Bevan – Australia’s most accurate clairvoyant, psychic and astrologer

Needless to say, we cannot endorse any of them, not even the second best, nor Australia’s worst psychic, assuming there is one.
